Hello My Crafty Peeps, How have you been ? Last month was little busy and exciting. I hosted Cardmaking workshops . Floral Resin Platter and Coasters

Image
Hello my Crafty Friends Today i have come up with another super easy and beautiful resin project . My love for flowers and gardening sometimes reflect in my projects and this project is one of them.  For my today’s project I have taken flowers from my own garden . I took bougainvillea flowers of different sizes along with leaves. I pressed them in my books. Bougainvillea is the easiest flower to press and use for your resin projects and its cost efficient also. Before doing any resin project we need to do some preparations . Preparations 1.  Cover your workstation - Cover up your workstation properly . I use cellaphane sheets to cover my work table. It is done to avoid spoiling your work table incase resin falls on it. These sheets will be disposed later. 2.  Gloves -Always wear gloves while working with resin . I prefer Nitrile gloves when handling resin . You can also use surgical gloves . Never do any of your resin project with bare hands. ...

Birdy Wreath Decoupage Box

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends , Today i have come up with a beautiful decoupage box. It goes without saying that my love for birds reflect in my art projects. For my today's project i have taken a very beautiful birdy wreath Decoupage napkin. I started by taking a desired MDF  box . I primed it using Acrylic gesso and let it dry. When done painting check corners and edges to make sure the paint has not pooled or thick. Brush off excess paint with your paintbrush. Once the paint is completely dry to touch, I took my decoupage napkin . Experiment with the design to determine the placement of the paper. Measure the sides of the box and cut the paper accordingly. Measure the paper by placing it on the sides. Always take some extra size of paper so as to avoid mistakes. Since my napkin is 3 ply , I carefully removed the two layers from beneath. Only the printed napkin layer is the one that is going to be used. Evenly apply a thin layer of Decoupage Glue on the surface....
